Her best finish on the season came at the Canisius Alumni invite where Henry claimed 10th place with a season-best time of 19:08.1, Buffalo, Senior, 3.519, Psychology (Fredonia, New York) Senior Runner had arguably her best season donning the blue & white for Buffalo this year. Reyda, who competed in every event this season, placed 73rd with a team-best time of 23:19.5 in the NCAA Northeast Regionals event.

    Her best race of the season came during the Canisius Alumni Classic where Reyda shined for the Bulls as she finished third with a time of 18:16.0. Reyda was named UB Athletics Athlete of The Week on one occasion this season., Buffalo, Junior, 3.426, Communication (Poughquag, New York) Latuso competed in five events for Buffalo this season, including the MAC Championships where she collected a 94th place finish with a time of 23:39.5. Her best finish was at the Canisius Alumni Classic where Latuso clocked in a time of 19:19.9, good for 13th place. The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.

    CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami cross country team gears up to compete in its third meet of the season this Saturday at the Mountain Dew Invitational held at the Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla. The Canes men's team is coming off a first place finish at the UCF Knight Invite, where proved his consistency and leadership placing first with a time of 27:44 in the 8K. Overall, Sykes has been the Canes' top male finisher in both meets this season and distance coach has recently seen a change in the team's attitude.

    'This is going to be our biggest challenge of the regular season,' Griffiths said. 'Coming off last Saturday, we have had a higher level of focus throughout the week at practice.' The 30th annual invitational held by the University of Florida will host a women's 5K and a men's 8K. The meet features 29 schools competing in the women's event and 23 teams competing in the men's event. 'This meet will provide a higher level of intensity at the start of the race because of how many teams are competing,' Griffiths said.

    The men's team will have five athletes compete in the 8K, including Sykes, the talented freshman, senior Matthew Weifels, sophomore and freshman Samuel Fleischman. Both Wiefels and Hasell produced top five finishes last weekend, helping the team tally 28 points. The women's team will have eight compete in the Gators home meet. Freshman Riley Howard will look to maintain her early success in the women's third 5K event of the season. Howard produced a personal-best time of 18:45 in her debut race with the Canes and followed it up with another solid performance last weekend with a time of 19:15.     Saturday's meet will be the first time the Canes have competed in back-to-back weekends.
